MEET THE BOSTON LEADERSHIP TEAM
Sarah Joyce, President
Sarah is the Founder and Leader of Lean In Boston, which she started in 2015 to promote the advancement of women locally. Sarah is also the Vice President of Client Operations at HealthcareSource, a healthcare IT company that provides talent management solutions. Prior to that, she was the Vice President of Customer Experience at NantHealth, an organization that enables value based care through precision medicine and also the Managing Director of Retail Management at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) where she managed retail partnerships and consumer experience. While at BCBSRI, she worked in various roles in Marketing, IT, and Operations. Sarah has a Bachelor of Science in Management from the A.B. Freeman School of Business, Tulane University and a Master of Liberal Arts in Management from Harvard University Extension School. She is also a youth soccer coach and a Girl Scout troop leader.
Karissa Fuller, Chief of Operations
Karissa Fuller is the Director of Operations and Programs of Lean In Boston and has been on the leadership team since 2015. She is also the Senior Director of Client Services at HealthcareSource. Previously Karissa held positions at NantHealth, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island, Daiichi Sankyo Pharmaceuticals and Automatic Data Processing. Karissa has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island. She lives at home with her two daughters, who are the inspiration for the work she does to further the conversation around gender equality and women’s advancement.
Amy Brown Weber, Chief Marketing Officer
Amy joined the Lean in Boston leadership team as the Director of Communications in 2016. Her passion for career development and helping people advocate on their behalf at the office (especially women) motivated her to take an expanded role within the Lean In Boston Chapter. In her day job, Amy is the Director of Business Development at GYK Antler, a full-service advertising and communications agency with clients ranging from Stonyfield Farms and Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce to Paypal and New Hampshire Travel and Tourism. Prior to joining GYK Antler, Amy worked at a number of different advertising agencies in the greater Boston area. She attended Hamilton College where she graduated with a double-concentration in Communication and Economics.
Laurel Britt-Webb, Director of Partnerships
Laurel joined the Lean In Boston team as Programs Manager in 2018. She currently works for illy caffe, North America as Director of National Accounts, On-premise. She began her illy tenure as the Boston Branch Manager was promoted to Regional Manager for New England and then asked to join National Account where she now leads the team that work with illy’s most strategic national partners. She works closely with the international team in Italy on global partnerships. Prior to illy, Laurel spent time in the technology sector working with U.S. Robotics in Chicago in both Sales and International partnerships. She is a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and has done MBA coursework at Babson College.
Mable Chan, Program Manager
Mable joined the leadership team of Lean in Boston as Program Manager in the beginning of 2019. She is a former award-winning television journalist turned entrepreneur. She is the Founder/CEO, Host and Executive Producer of “One in a Billion” - a podcast about millennials with personal ties to China and America. China Personified, a global network community and a digital storytelling platform with video, blogs and a podcast, became a part of “One in a Billion Productions, Inc.” in 2017 when it was incorporated as a non-profit educational media organization (501 c 3) in the state of Massachusetts. A Harvard graduate with a Master’s degree in East Asian Studies (AM’93), Mable finished her one-year appointment as a Visiting Scholar at the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies at Harvard (2010-11), and remains an “Associate-in-Research” at Harvard University.
